About this product

What is Zenrelia (Ilunocitinib Tablets) Once Daily Prescription Itch Relief for Dogs?

Zenrelia is an innovative, once-daily treatment that offers relief from itchy, irritated skin - right from the start. Allergic dermatitis can make your dog very uncomfortable. Symptoms like excessive itching, scratching, and biting aren't only disruptive to you and your pet, but they can also cause more severe problems over time, including hair loss and skin infection. Don’t let allergic itch disrupt your dog’s Zen. Reach for Zenrelia.

Suitable for:

Dogs (at least 12 months of age.)

Indications:

Zenrelia is a prescription medication used to control itching and inflammation associated with skin allergies for dogs over 12 months of age.

Benefits:

  • Zenrelia relieves itching in dogs due to allergic dermatitis and controls atopic dermatitis.
  • Ilunocitinib, the active ingredient in Zenrelia, works by reducing the itch and inflammatory response in your dog's skin due to allergies.
  • The most common side effects reported with this dog dermatitis treatment were vomiting, diarrhea and tiredness; please see product insert for more information.
  • The once-daily hypoallergenic unflavored tablet can be given with or without food from the comfort of your home.

How does Zenrelia (Ilunocitinib Tablets) Once Daily Prescription Itch Relief for Dogs work?

Zenrelia blocks itch signals from reaching your dog’s brain, reducing the sensation of itch. The active ingredient, Ilunocitinib, reduces the inflammatory response in your dog's skin caused by allergies. The result? Red and inflamed skin is soothed, and your dog’s itchiness goes back to just the normal, occasionally good scratch. What's more, Zenrelia is designed to deliver continuous efficacy over the long term and can get your dog back to normal. Ask your veterinarian if Zenrelia can relieve itching in your dog due to allergic and atopic dermatitis. Fast relief for your best friend is also a relief for you. Spend more time doing the things you love, like cuddling and playing, and less time managing your dog's allergy symptoms.

Caution:

Do not administer vaccines to a dog receiving Zenrelia. Discontinue use of Zenrelia at least 28 days to 3 months prior to vaccination and withhold administration of Zenrelia for at least 28 days after vaccination. Zenrelia may increase susceptibility to or exacerbate subclinical or uncomplicated infections, including demodicosis and pneumonia. Zenrelia is not for use in dogs with serious infections or in dogs less than 12 months of age. New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in dogs treated with Zenrelia during clinical studies. Keep Zenrelia in a secure location out of reach of dogs, cats, and other animals to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose. Wash your hands immediately after handling tablets. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.

How should I store this product?

Store at room temperature between 15̊ to 25̊ C (59̊ to 77̊ F).

What is the most important information I should know about Zenrelia (Ilunocitinib Tablets) Once Daily Prescription Itch Relief for Dogs?

The Zenrelia label contains a boxed safety warning regarding the risk of fatal vaccine-induced disease from modified live virus vaccines and inadequate immune response to vaccines, with instructions to discontinue Zenrelia for at least 28 days to 3 months prior to vaccination and at least 28 days after vaccination. This boxed safety warning is specifically due to the results of a vaccine response study in which 8 young, unvaccinated dogs were treated with 3 times the label dose and were sick at the time of vaccination*. Future studies should evaluate the response to vaccination in healthy dogs. *Elanco Animal Health. Data on File.

This stuff is amazing..
My dog had been on apaquel for five yrs with a lack of results. He had been to an allergist and we live in north Texas and found out his allergies are environmental.. along with his serum from the allergist and the Zenrilia the allergist told me they have seen great results.Within 24 hrs of taking it, it has cleared my boxer dog almost all the way up. His chest isn’t nearly as red as it was, his fur is smoother and not as course. I’m not saying it’s a miracle drug, but if the results or any indication of what it can do, this stuff will be a game changer for his allergies.. if you have been thinking about giving it a try I really suggest it.

FINALLY- relief!
We took our dog numerous times to the vet for a severe infection in one ear. The ear became matted and black - it was oozing, and you could smell it. The vet suggested a change in food, but the infection persisted. She then prescribed a complicated course of multiple medications, but that didn’t work either. We were referred to a dog dermatologist who prescribed 3 meds (down from 5) with different applications - one was twice a day for a week and then once a day until it ran out, etc. The different dosing was a lot for two busy working parents to keep track of. Enter Zenrelia. ONE pill, and I can give it in the morning rather than wait to give it with food (since it can be given without food)! Game. Changer. This not only alleviated our dog’s infection but gave back precious time to our day!

This worked very quickly for my 80 lb dog
I've watched my bernese mountain dog scratch and scratch repeatedly until I put him on Zenrelia. I'm grateful that it is also well priced.
