Veraflox Oral Suspension for Cats is an oral solution for cats that treats skin infections. This antibiotic helps your cat heal from infections from wounds and abscesses caused by susceptible strains of Gram-negative, Gram-positive, and anaerobic bacteria (Pasteurella multocida, Streptococcus canis, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphlyococcus felis and Staphylococcus pseudintermedius). Veraflox Oral Suspension for Cats is available in a 15 ml bottle with an included dosing syringe and requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

Cautions:
Do not use in dogs. Do not use for longer than 7 days. The use of fluoroquinolones such as Veraflox Oral Suspension for Cats, has been associated with the development of retinopathy and/or blindness. The safety of pradofloxacin in immune-compromised cats (i.e., cats infected with feline leukemia virus and/or feline immuno-deficiency virus) has not been evaluated. The safety of pradofloxacin in cats that are pregnant, breeding or lactating has not been evaluated.

Use the syringe provided to ensure accuracy of dosing to the nearest 0.1 ml. Rinse syringe between doses. Veraflox Oral Suspension for Cats can be given with food.

Potential side effects of Veraflox Oral Suspension for Cats can include diarrhea, leukocytosis with neutrophilia (high white blood count), elevated CPK levels, sneezing, hematuria (blood in urine), hypersalivation, pruritus (severe itching of the skin), lack of appetite, lethargy, cardiac murmur, reclusive behavior, vomiting, bacteriuria (bacteria in urine), polydipsia (great thirst), and upper respiratory infection.
What happens if I miss giving a dose of Veraflox Oral Suspension for Cats?
Give the dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not give a double dose.

Compounds (e.g., sucralfate, antacids and multivitamins) containing divalent and trivalent cations (e.g., iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, and zinc) may interfere with Veraflox Oral Suspension for Cats. Tell your veterinarian about any medications or supplements your pet is taking.

- Shake bottle well before use. Draw out the equivalent dosage into the syringe. Administer solution directly into the mouth.
