Just bought a new case and this case the food is more of a pate and lighter in color with what looks like a green veggie in it? I checked and it’s this one that I’ve ordered for years. Not sure why this food recently has been so inconsistent.

A soupy mess
Sorry but I agree with several in that the stew is now soup. I’m pouring a third of the can out due to excessive liquid. I gave it two stars because our vet claims it’s healthy. I’m going a different route though because I’m wasting a lot on money tossing out so much liquid.

Agree with recent reviews. It is now a soupy consistency! I have been buying this for over 5 years and there definitely a change.

Chunky Stew Dog Food Now All Liquid
I've been buying this product for my rescue pups for years and as many reviewers have reported due to reformulation or whatever other reason the wonderful stew like, meaty, chunky texture of the product loved by dogs is now a liquid-y, watery non-stew slop with no chunks whatsoever. It's no longer a food but a drink and should honestly be marketed that way if Hill refuses to address this change. It's impossible to serve this "food" to any pup without mixing it with kibbles or the dry pate to give it some substance and volume. Hill's should please look into this change rather than denying what so many reviewers on this site who have used this product for their pets for years have reported. It's disappointing to see a company care so little about its customers and ignore their concerns.

Why Is A Prescription Necessary
My dog suffered with pancreatitis. His Vet recommended this product as he needs a diet of less than 10% fat. I am wondering why this food needs a vet's prescription? Typically requiring a prescription means it could be harmful if not used properly. Should my dog be weaned from this food or is weaning not necessary. It appears to be just another way to increase the cost. This food costs twice as much as any canned food I buy for myself!

Can Contents Doesn't Match Label Picture
Was put on this food by my vet. The picture on the can looks like chopped up chicken (somewhat) and when you open the can it looks like regurgitated food. It's mushy and not at all what appears on the can. The quality on the label surely doesn't match what's in the can. And my 4.6 month old puppy needs to be on this for the next 2-3 weeks before introducing a new food.
