How does Dr. Cuddles ReadyRESCUE First Response Emergency Detoxifier for Pets work?

Utilizing activated carbon spheres, this home emergency aid swoops in to save the day by quickly binding a wide array of organic toxins before they wreak havoc in our pet’s bodies. Even if you aren’t sure what your pet ingested, if anything, ReadyRESCUE™ is still safe to give to your pet. It will work to absorb toxins (5 times more powerfully than other activated charcoals) if it has to, and if not, it will pass through your pet’s GI tract without harm. ReadyRESCUE™ is a must-have in all pet households, delivering peace of mind to pet owners and ensuring the well-being of our 4-legged family members.

Caution:

For dog and cat use only. Not for human use. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. ReadyRESCUE should be used as a first line response in the management of poisoning, and users should contact their veterinarian immediately for follow-up. ReadyRESCUE can lead to better outcomes from a toxicity event, but you should still follow your veterinarian’s guidance after administration. ReadyRESCUE is safe to administer prior to antidotal therapy, gastric lavage, and/or administration of proper life support. ReadyRESCUE should not be used at the same/time as an emetic or if the animal is actively vomiting. If an emetic is given and/or the animal is vomiting, do not administer ReadyRESCUE for 30-60 minutes after cessation of vomiting to avoid risk of aspiration pneumonia. It should not be given immediately prior to administration of other therapeutic agents as it will absorb the agent. ReadyRESCUE may be used in the early stages of gastric lavage to facilitate absorption of the toxicant.

How should I store this product?

Store ReadyRESCUE in the original glass vials and carton at room temperature out of the reach of children. ReadyRESCUE has a five year shelf life if properly stored.

Potential Life Saver
I purchased this on a whim and thought better to be safe than sorry. My little guy doesn't really get into things so I figured I would never use this product. Well, when making a sandwich, a small glob of grape jelly fell on the floor, and he gobbled it up without a seconds pause. I contacted the vet who told me I could call the ASPCA poison control hotline (which has a fee associated with it) or use the help hotline from our microchip or call the emergency vet clinic in our area... Long story short, couldn't find the number for our microchips hotline and the emergency vet told us to contact the ASPCA poison control hotline as well. Then I remembered I had purchased this product! With toxins time is key. The nearest emergency vet is ~50mins from where we live and its currently winter with bad roads so add some time to that. I was able to give my little guy this product within 10-15mins of ingestion. It's likely saved me time and $$$, in addition to giving me peace of mind.

Peace of mind - like an epipen for dogs
I've had a few instances of a pup getting into something they shouldn't, being scavengers and all. This is a neat product that went into my medicine cabinet and I know if there's any issues in the next 5 years, I can help provide a better outcome.
