DOUXO Chlorhexidine Shampoo is an antiseptic cleansing treatment for cats and dogs that provides relief from itching and inflammation associated with bacterial and fungal skin infections responsive to chlorhexidine and climbazole. It is a soap-free formulation that contains cleansing agents and moisturizers to help keep the skin healthy. DOUXO Chlorhexidine Shampoo can be used alongside DOUXO Chlorhexidine Spray.

NOTE:For best results, use withDOUXO Chlorhexidine Micro-emlsion Spray.

How does DOUXO Chlorhexidine Shampoo work?

DOUXO Chlorhexidine Shampoo contains gentle cleansing agents and moisturizers as well as phytosphingosine, which helps rebuild skin barriers and keep it healthy.

Cautions:

For external use on dogs and cats only. Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly and consult your veterinarian. If irritation occurs or increases, discontinue use and consult with your veterinarian.

Douxo Chlorhexidine Shampoo Directions:

  • Gently remove all tangles and mats before bathing.
  • Use cool water to wet your pet's fur from the neck down.
  • Avoid getting shampoo in your pet's eyes and ears.
  • Place a small amount of shampoo into your hands and gently massage areas of the body with skin abnormalities. Then massage shampoo onto the rest of the body, ensuring the shampoo reaches the skin
  • Leave the shampoo on for 10 minutes and then rinse with cool water until the water runs clear.
Tip:

This is a soap-free, low-lather shampoo. Do not over-apply.

My dog was so itchy, and I tried everything
Hot spots, hot spot treatment, every shampoo under the sun. The vet has her on Clindamayacin antibiotic for skin itching and thats not going to do much along with Apoquel which is a prescription and is working with this shampoo and the wipes or cool rags on her hind legs and a bit of this shampoo is doing the trick. Its worth the money.

Best shampoo for dog skin issues.
My dermatologist recommended this shampoo for my dog who had an internal bacterial infection in his hair follicles. He was also on prescription drugs. You must bathe every 2/3 days for about 4 wks. His coat is perfect now. Highly recommended.
