Vet Review | Glyco-Flex I is a wonderful product is for those pets with early or mild arthritis. Not only does this formula have the Perna Canaliculus of the original classic formula, but additional glucosamine added helps add to the joint stabilizing effect of this supplement. This is one of the most common products I will use in younger dogs as a preventative supplement, or dogs/breeds predisposed to hip or other joint dysfunction. For pets that have more serious joint problems. I will often use the more advanced formula Glycoflex II or Glycol-flex III products. However for those pets with mild or early arthritis this will be one of the first products I will reach for off of the shelf. I only rarely see diarrhea in treated pets, and am happy to give this product an overall ranking of 4.5 out of 5. | I have only recently been using this excellent joint supplement, which has a tremendous combination of nutrients that help reduce inflammation and discomfort in inflamed joints when doing normal activity. You have to love the extract of blue green algae joint is one of the key components in providing joint support and stress relief, as well as helping fight free radicals that are involved in so many degenerative and cancer conditions in our pets. This product works so well because of the unique blend of glucosamine, MSM, boron, creatine, and omega 3 fatty acids, in addition to the blue green algae. I will often recommend this product even as a preventative in all senior pets, as it can improve health in so many ways besides joint function. The hypoallergenic formula is wonderful for most pets, but a formulation known as Phycox A is possible for those dogs with allergies. This is one of my favorite new products and I give it an overall ranking of 5 out of 5. | One of my favorite long term and reliable joint supplements that has been out for years is the product Glyco-Flex classic by Vetri-Science. The main ingredient in this wonderful product, known as perna canaliculus(the green lipped mussel) has many years of clinical research behind its use in the human field for helping treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This product was the very first offered by one of the most trustworthy and reliable companies in Vetri-Science, and was the basis for many of their other wonderful Glyco-Flex products. This product helps to maintain healthy joints and connective tissue health, and so it is an excellent product to use as a preventative in those pets predisposed to hip or joint problems. The only cautions I can bring up is to check with your veterinarian if a pet is diabetic, as well as if there is a history of urinary tract stones. I find that any digestive side effects are prevented by giving the chewable supplement with food. It should also be avoided in pregnant and breeding animals. I give this product an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. |
