Vet Review | Similar to the original Cosequin for dog formula, I have found that many picky canines will prefer the Cosequin Soft Chews over the original formula, and it is in those cases that I will often reach for this product first. This wonderful product contains the same glucosamine and chondroitin of the original formula that significantly supports joint health. I have only rarely seen diarrhea in dogs when using this product, however it¿s easy to administer formulation does make it one of my favorites. I therefore give it an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. | One of my favorite comprehensive joint supplements, synoviG3 has an excellent high concentration of glucosamine, MSM, creatine, and Perna Canaliculus. I have always favored products with perna canaliculus on the ingredient list, as this ingredient has been shown clinically in human trials to be very effective for both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. With regular use, this product can not only support joint function and flexibility, but also help strengthen joint cartilage as well. The addition of antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, not only enhances the efficacy of this product, but also has other health benefits for the heart, brain and kidneys. Another excellent benefit of this product is the availability of it in several formulations to fit the needs of any dog. I have yet seen any side effects when using this product. The only drawback to this product is the somewhat high cost. I give this product an overall ranking of a 4.5 out of 5. | One of my favorite long term and reliable joint supplements that has been out for years is the product Glyco-Flex classic by Vetri-Science. The main ingredient in this wonderful product, known as perna canaliculus(the green lipped mussel) has many years of clinical research behind its use in the human field for helping treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This product was the very first offered by one of the most trustworthy and reliable companies in Vetri-Science, and was the basis for many of their other wonderful Glyco-Flex products. This product helps to maintain healthy joints and connective tissue health, and so it is an excellent product to use as a preventative in those pets predisposed to hip or joint problems. The only cautions I can bring up is to check with your veterinarian if a pet is diabetic, as well as if there is a history of urinary tract stones. I find that any digestive side effects are prevented by giving the chewable supplement with food. It should also be avoided in pregnant and breeding animals. I give this product an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. |
