Vet Review | Being a more holistic oriented veterinarian, I am always searching for more natural effective products to ease our pets pain and discomfort, especially those joint issues associated with aging. I find this combination of homeopathic medicines most effective in those acute injuries or lameness that occur suddenly, In such situations this product is highly effective in relieving discomfort, and in returning our pets to normal mobility and function quite quickly. However when this product is used more long term for chronic conditions, I find that it will often lose its effectiveness if used alone or without some sort of prescription nonsteroidal anti inflammatory medication from your veterinarian, or other joint supplements. I find that combination homeopathic medicines like this make a great adjunct to first aid conventional veterinary care, however if clients truly want to treat their animals long term homeopathically for joint problems, that is best left to a trained classical homeopathic veterinarian who can individualize treatment for your particular pet. I give this product an overall rating of 4. Its ease of use is a 5 and its efficacy is a 4. | One of the more reliable economic alternatives to some of the more expensive joint supplements such as Cosequin and Glyco-Flex is the supplement joint enhancer from 1800petmeds. The excellent quantity of glucosamine and chondroitin helps maintain healthy joints, as well as improve flexibility and ease of motion and jumping. I have found that most dogs do love the pork flavor, making the product quite easy to administer. I also like the fact that joint enhancer also includes vitamin C, Vitamin E, selenium, and bioflavonoid that can have antioxidant effects and protective benefits on the joints. I have only seen rare side effects with this product with occasional diarrhea. This is an excellent preventative product for joint health, as well as therapeutic for dogs with existing joint disease. I give this product an overall rating of 4 out of 5. | One of the most versatile and effective products I have used in practiceis Super Joint Enhancer from 1800petmeds. I have found it both helpful in older pets with increasing stiffness and spinal or joint arthritis, but also helpful in those pets recovering from surgeries. Compared to other products on the market it is quite cost effective with its synergistic combination of glucosamine and chondroitan sulfate and MSM. While relief is sometimes seen very quickly, more commonly it takes several weeks to see results with a nutritional supplement like this. I also find that it works best when used in conjunction with other nutritional supplements for the joints such as the antioxidant proanthozone, as well as fatty acids like be well from 1800petmeds. The only disadvantages I have seen with use of this product in my experience is occasional diarrhea in sensitive pets, and even more rarely problems with sugar regulation in diabetic animals. Otherwise I highly recommend this wonderful product!!!! I give this product an overall ranking of 4.5 out of 5. |
