Vet Review | Similar to the original Cosequin for dog formula, I have found that many picky canines will prefer the Cosequin Soft Chews over the original formula, and it is in those cases that I will often reach for this product first. This wonderful product contains the same glucosamine and chondroitin of the original formula that significantly supports joint health. I have only rarely seen diarrhea in dogs when using this product, however it¿s easy to administer formulation does make it one of my favorites. I therefore give it an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. | As a holistic oriented veterinarian I am always welcoming natural products and alternatives to chemicals and prescription drugs. Over the past several years I have found Duralactin for dogs to be a very versatile product useful in a lot of clinical situations. That patented dried milk protein concentrate is believed to help manage inflammatory conditions long term, and I have found that this product will often effectively reduce the need for cortisone or non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs that may have side effects in dogs. I often find this all natural product increases normal activity and wellness and I have used it in chronic inflammatory conditions of the skin, respiratory and digestive tract in both dogs and cats. I have seen no side effects when using this product in dogs and give the product an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. As I mentioned under my product review for Duralactin for dogs, Duralactin for cats is wonderful nondrug alternative choice for treating various inflammatory conditions of the skin, respiratory and digestive tract. In many cases I may often use this product as an alternative to cortisone and non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs for these conditions in our cats, which will often cut down on unwanted side effects. The patented dried milk protein concentrate is the main effective ingredient. Some cats may be sensitive to milk proteins and/or carbohydrates. If vomiting or diarrhea occurs, the product should be discontinued due to a likely allergic reaction. Because of the versatility of this product for so many feline conditions, I give this product an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. | One of the more reliable economic alternatives to some of the more expensive joint supplements such as Cosequin and Glyco-Flex is the supplement joint enhancer from 1800petmeds. The excellent quantity of glucosamine and chondroitin helps maintain healthy joints, as well as improve flexibility and ease of motion and jumping. I have found that most dogs do love the pork flavor, making the product quite easy to administer. I also like the fact that joint enhancer also includes vitamin C, Vitamin E, selenium, and bioflavonoid that can have antioxidant effects and protective benefits on the joints. I have only seen rare side effects with this product with occasional diarrhea. This is an excellent preventative product for joint health, as well as therapeutic for dogs with existing joint disease. I give this product an overall rating of 4 out of 5. |
