1-800-PetMeds® Helps Pet Parents Plan For Emergencies With The Prepare Your Pet Sweepstakes!

Delray Beach, Florida, June 04, 2020 – June is National Pet Preparedness Month, the perfect time to create an emergency kit that includes necessary supplies if pet parents ever have to evacuate with pets during a natural disaster or other emergency. By keeping a carrier, a first aid kit, and day-to-day necessities in one place, pet parents will be prepared for anything that comes their way.
A pet’s emergency kit should include extra food, medications, veterinary records, travel bowls, a first aid kit, and a stash of bottled water. It should also include an extra harness, leash, and carrier so pet parents can easily transport pets at a moment’s notice.
It’s also a good time to make sure pets have a collar tag with up-to-date contact information, as well as a microchip that can be used to identify them even if they get lost while they are not wearing their collar.
