When mixed with 14 ml of water, each ml contains 62.5 mg of Clavamox Drops. Clavamox is also available as Clavamox Tablets and Chewable Tablets in four different strengths: 62.5 mg, 125 mg, 250 mg, and 375 mg.

What should I discuss with my veterinarian before giving Clavamox Drops to my pet?

Tell your veterinarian if your pet has ever had an allergic reaction to another penicillin or to a cephalosporin. Tell your veterinarian if your pet has liver or kidney disease. Tell your veterinarian if your pet is pregnant or lactating or if your pet could become pregnant during treatment.

Other less serious side effects such as mild diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or yeast or fungal infection may be more likely to occur. Continue to give Clavamox Drops and notify your veterinarian if these symptoms occur. Talk to your veterinarian about any side effect that seems unusual or bothersome to your pet.

What happens if I miss giving a dose of Clavamox Drops?

You may not be able to give Clavamox Drops or you may need to have the dosage adjusted. Drugs other than those listed here may also interact with Clavamox Drops. Talk to your veterinarian or pharmacist before giving any prescription or over-the-counter medicines, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal products.

Medicine has been working great!
The only downside is the application. It would be a little better as an edible item rather than dropper with liquid.

It worked great
I purchased this medication for my chihuahua Pepe who is 23yrs old and he was feeling better within days. But of course I still gave him his medication for the 10 days. Now he’s feeling great.

It smells like bubble gum! My cat hated it
The doctor suggested this product for my cat. He is a very sweet cat and super easy going, but this product smells like bubble gum and scared him away. He gets super anxious when we get close to him. The product was super expensive but it’s so hard to apply. Please, try to create a version with different flavours: tuna, turkey, chicken! Not strawberry bubble-gum. I just lost $100. So sad!

Thank you!
Fall of 2020, our 17 year old cat was DX with kidney disease and not a UTI after 3 emergency vet hospital visits and a 2 night (expensive!) stay. She was put on clavamox chewables. Unfortunately, she refused the chewables and needed the drops. She was on clavamox for 6 weeks but after 10 days, bloody urine, unable to urinate and pain returned. Another 2-3 more rounds of clavamox the bloody urine, unable to urinate and pain returned within 2 to 10 days each time. We decided, with vet approval, to give her clavamox daily. It was taking her more and more time to recover from the pain, bloody urine and pain each time it happened. We would rather her be comfortable with Her remaining time with us than seeing her in pain and unable to urinate and probably less quality time with us. (NOTE: It was OUR decision to give daily, it was never given to us as an option from the vet, she only approved our request.) We use 3 ml syringes instead of the dropper provided in the box. We donate the droppers to our local cat rescue, which they are very thankful for. With the great coupon discounts 1800petmeds has, I pay over $20 less per box than from the vet! Thank you!
