Unfortunately my peke throws this food back up so I'm not sure what the issue is. He is 8 and has never thrown up before.

First off, I was not compensated for nor asked to write this review. I am doing so to try to let other families who have a dog with food sensitivities and/or allergies know about our experience with this product. Our Westie/shi tzu mix is almost three. He began to be very picky with his food about a year and a half ago, had loose stools, would at times vomit and then ultimately began to have lumps under his skin. We feared for the worst regarding the lumps, but he wasn’t even two yet, so we were optimistic that he wasn’t ill. We had one lump removed and our vet had it examined to find that it was not cancer (thank God) but was an inflammatory problem that affected his subcutaneous skin cells. That started us on the search to find what would trigger his immune system. We went through the elimination process- weeks/ months at a time- of eliminating various proteins, grains, - chicken, beef, etc. from his foods as well as finding ones he would eat. It was a long process. I even went through a period where I said, “ this is too much, I’ll just make his food”. Very time consuming that period!! Anyway, after we nailed down the fact that our little fella probably has numerous allergies, but that yes, chicken and beef exasperated his immune response, I found Blue Buffalo Basics Small Breed Turkey and Potato. He loves it and I can say after about 6 months of being on this food his lumps are completely gone. His stools are well formed (no more diarrhea/ loose). I don’t know if this food is the singular reason, but there is no doubt it has contributed to his improved gut and immune system health. Our trusted vet is very supportive of this company and this product, so that is also a big plus for us! I just found the canned version, too, and mix both for him daily. I cannot tell you how thankful we are to have resolved this issue for him. Thank you Blue Buffalo!

My maltipoo is an extremely picky eater, she started losing weight to an unhealthy degree, and this brand is the only thing she will consistently eat. The small kibble is perfect for her, and even the other dogs started eating better too. I’m so upset that I can’t find a big bag of this anywhere! For now I’m making do with purchasing smaller ones, but I really hope they release bigger bags again soon

I feed my dog wet food twice daily but she always has a bowl of this down in her feeding area. She seems to enjoy it in addition eating the wet food.

My dog is 15 and loves this food. She has skin issues and food allergies. This food was the best I ever found, but lately it's impossible to find. Please bring it back.

I have a chihuahua dachshund mix with severe gastro issues and this is the only kibble her tummy can handle. I’m a concerned mama since we cannot find this small breed formula anywhere. Please bring back and don’t discontinue!

I love how this company gives you the option to let your dogs eat something similar that you would eat beans or your family member Washington eat like you do

I own four small breed dogs and this is the best food for them. We have a Maltese, Yorkie and two for their pups
